We are hiring a Thermal Engineering Manager, to contribute to the design, development, and deployment of future high density, liquid-cooled systems in Azure datacenters by developing and leading a global team of thermal engineers.

Required Qualifications9 years of related technical engineering experienceOR Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 6 years of related technical engineering experienceOR Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 4 years of related technical engineering experienceOR Doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 3 years of related technical engineering experienceOR equivalent experience5 years experience in industry performing a thermal engineering function2 years of experience managing larger (6-10 people) technical engineering team(s)Other Requirements:
This role will require access to information that is controlled for export under export control regulations, potentially under the U.S.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations or Export Administration Regulations, the EU Dual Use Regulation, and/or other export control regulations. Industry experience in server hardware development, data center infrastructure, or cloud computing Experience in systems level thermal design including thermal simulation Experience in cross-discipline design process from chip to the rack level Experience managing ODM engineering deliverables Knowledge of material science, design for manufacturing, and sustainable design Experience with prototyping, tooling design, and high volume manufacturing Mechanical Engineering MThere is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
