Patient-related tasks:
Decision on accepting or rejecting a patient as a client.

Conducting initial visits, in particular:

Assessment of care needs, creation of a care plan and cost plan, development of work methods and standardized nursing techniques, written instructions and implementation of a holistic and supportive nursing process model, evaluation of new nursing methods and aids, and organization of necessary further training.

Monitoring, guidance, and independent execution of medical orders, initiation and monitoring of judicial measures such as appointing a legal guardian or restrictive measures, health and care counseling during regularly scheduled consultations, initiation and implementation of care training for family caregivers, receiving and addressing requests and complaints from patients and their families.

Ensuring the provision of nursing aids for patients, regular assessment of patients' care needs, and potential adjustments to care levels after informing patients.

Submitting corresponding applications to care insurance providers, preparing expert opinions to determine care needs and assigning care levels according to the Care Insurance Act, ensuring special care for seriously ill and dying patients, and ensuring a dignified death.

Concluding a care contract and forwarding all important data to nursing staff and administration, coordinating support services, conducting home visits according to § SGB XI, ensuring quality of care by reviewing nursing documentation and conducting care visits, implementing and developing a nursing philosophy with the nursing team, and implementing a nursing organization (activating care, primary care, etc.).
