Based in San Francisco, Shaper was founded in 2012 with the goal of developing a revolutionary product line of computer-assisted power tools, starting with a handheld CNC milling machine called Origin.

We are currently seeking an intern or working student to join our team in Bel-Nor, MO, in the Purchasing and Planning department.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for project management of our various accessories, retail SKUs, and service components from product launch to ongoing support.

You will assist with tasks such as onboarding new suppliers, managing supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery of our products, and maintaining processes for new product introductions.

You will collaborate with various teams within the company, including logistics, supply chain, sales, and marketing.

Where you will work:

You will be working in our team at our German office, with access to our workshop equipped with all the woodworking machines you could wish for (including Origin).

Your tasks:

Review, manage, and monitor orders and delivery commitments from specific suppliers to support production and/or distribution within the company
Create and submit orders to Shaper Tools' accessories and merchandising department
Monitor supplier performance and act as the first point of contact for delivery issues
Track component deliveries and handle any delivery problems that may arise
Ensure timely delivery to support product launches and meet shipping schedules
Build and maintain effective supplier relationships
