Duties:

Multiple positions in multiple duty locations will be filled through this announcement:

Cabrillo National Monument:
San Diego, Ca, one full time position, PCS offered, Regular Drivers License required, not telework eligible.

Lake Mead National Recreation Area:

Boulder City and Henderson, NV, two full time positions, No PCS offered, Regular drivers license and telework eligible with supervisory approval.


Yosemite National Park:

Yosemite, Ca, two full time Positions, two career seasonal position with non pay time, PCS offered, not telework eligible.


Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis.

Non-pay dates will be two weeks at the end of February to March for one position and two months from the end of February to the beginning of May for the other.


  • The incumbent performs assignments in accordance with all regulations governing the handling of government funds and separation of duties.
  • Serve as a technical authority for the resolution of especially difficult or sensitive technical problems associated with the collection, deposit, tracking, and expenditure of fee revenue and donations.
  • Test reservation system functionality in automated reservation systems such as and report findings as appropriate.
  • Prepare or update operating manuals and/or standard operating procedures for the implementation of fee related systems, processes, and procedures.

Conditions of Employment:


  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males.
  • Selectee will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program.
  • You will be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties; a valid driver's license is required. You will be required to submit a Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Driving Record. You must also submit (within a State sealed envelope or submitted directly by the State authorities), and at your own expense, all certified driving records from all States that disclose all valid driver's licenses, whether current or past, possessed by you.
  • You will be required to wear a uniform and comply with the National Park Service uniform standards. A uniform allowance will be provided.
  • You may be required to work oncall, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work.
  • If you are a new employee or supervisor in the Federal government, you will be required to complete a oneyear probationary period.
  • You may be required to travel overnight away from home up to 2 nights per month. You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes.
  • Applicants must be at least (1)18 years old or (2) at least 16 years old and: (a) Have graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school; or (b) Have completed a formal vocational training program; or (c) Have received a statement from school authorities agreeing with their preference for employment rather than continuing their education; or (d) Be currently enrolled in a secondary school and either work only during school vacation periods or work parttime during the school year under a formal student employment program.

Qualifications:


  • All qualifications must be met by 11:59 EST or when the 'applicant cutoff' is reached (which may be sooner than 05/20/2024).
  • Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To receive credit for experience, your resume
    MUST clearly indicate the nature of the duties and responsibilities for each position, starting and ending dates of employment (month/year), and the resume must reflect full and/or parttime or total number of hours worked (i.e., work 40+ hours a week, rather than indicating fulltime). If parttime, the hours must be annotated to be able to prorate the amount of qualified specialized experience.
  • To qualify for this position at the GS08 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:

  • EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). Examples of specialized experience demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of Supervisory Recreation Fee Technician, GS Must have experience leading others in fee collection related duties as well as technical abilities.
Examples of specialized experience include, but not limited to:

providing technical or programmatic assistance on accounting, auditing, budget, and/or revenue collection; resolve fee program planning issues; assisting with identifying fee program/project needs; assisting with programmatic audits of a fee program.
