Position Summary:
Our client is looking for an Accounting Manager to lead their accounting team and oversee all aspects of their financial reporting and analysis.
You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, implementing and improving accounting systems and processes, and providing financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong analytical and technical background, as well as a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
You will be expected to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while focusing on achieving their strategic goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monthly journal entriesMonthly, quarterly, and annual closingsPrepare daily depositOversee the accounts payable, receivable, and payroll processPayroll reconciliationsGeneral ledger account reconciliationsPrepare and file monthly sales tax report with State of OhioPrepare and file quarterly Commercial Activity TaxOversee and manage payroll tax filings including Form 941Complete workers' compensation filingsCompute general manager bonuses in collaboration with leadershipAdvising pay changes and new hire pay ratesManage the QuickBooks systemPerform accounting projects as needed including but not limited to food and labor cost analysis, credit card processing review, financial statement development, annual budgeting, capital expenditures budgeting and cash and financial forecasting.
Liaise with outside CPAs, payroll processor, and Fractional CFOAd hoc reportingComplete other tasks, projects and job duties as assigned and/or deemed appropriate.
Prepare and analyze financial documents, forecasts, budgets, and statements in accordance with GAAPCoordinate and manage the external tax returns and ensure timely completionDevelop and ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Implement and improve accounting systems, digital technology, and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracyAnalyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations to senior managementSupport the restaurant operations team with financial information and guidanceManage, mentor, and develop the finance team.
Keep updated on the financial markets to understand how to maximize profits and find new expansion areas.Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting – required4+ years in accounting roles including previous experience as a Senior AccountantInternal and external financial reporting developmentFinancial systems management (QuickBooks preferred)Auditing skillsAbility to understand and communicate general business tax mattersWorking knowledge of payroll processes and requirementsWorking knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferredA strong understanding of IT systems, digital technology, and automationA desire to learn about our day-to-day operations and support our store teamsAn entrepreneurial spirit, a creative mindset, and a results-oriented approachA detail-oriented and process-driven personalityAn ability to communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner to various stakeholdersAn ability to see the big picture and challenge the status quoAn ability to work independently and as part of a teamAn ability to relocate to Lancaster Ohio or live within commuting distance
