Job Summary:
Is responsible for the administrative and technical direction for the medical imaging services in the absence of the Director.
To provide coordination of the administrative and technical activities and personnel to include all imaging modalities. Administers financial, physical and human resources to provide medical imaging services in the radiological sciences.Monitors departmental operations to assure compliance with governmental and other regulations and to meet standards established by the accrediting agencies.
Is expected to abide by established hospital and department policies and procedures with minimal supervision.Collaborates with other professionals in and out of the Hospital to ensure effective, efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired outcomes.
Qualifications:
Education:
Must have the required education needed to be a Registered Radiologic Technologist. Bachelor's Degree in Radiology, Business or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years experience as a director of a radiology/medical imaging department is preferred.
License / Certifications:
Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and must maintain current certification. Must maintain current BLS certification,
