- Inspection support for Shop Floor Production Cells.
- Measurement of product to prove dimensional compliance.
- Recording of inspection results in a clear and organized manner. Reviewing manufacturing build records to assure that all steps have been properly documented.
- Assist the Quality Engineer with the preparation of certification data packages, contract quality data packages and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR).
- Proper documentation and control of non-conforming product.
- Assist the product team in the analysis of process and product defect data, including root-cause, and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Support role during internal and customer quality system and safety audits.
- 3 years of experience as an inspector in an aerospace, defense or medical environment.
- Experience with basic measuring equipment such as shadow graphs, calipers, micrometers, height gages, and hardness testers.
- Must be able to read and interpret technical product drawings.
- Perform visual, dimensional, 1st piece and final inspection of detailed parts and assemblies.
- Accurate records of inspections performed, and creation of discrepancy reports is required.
- Should be familiar with corrective action systems, nonconforming material control systems and configuration management practices in an AS9100/ISO9000 environment.
- Experience in a production team environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft office suite software.
- Basic background in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement.
- Must be able to manage their time to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Attention to detail is required.
- Ability to lift 20 lbs
- Electronics Inspection Experience (Component Inspection, PCB Assembly, Electromechanical Assembly, and IPC & J-STD Specification Knowledge)
