    Description

    Summary

    Serves as a senior Traffic Management Specialist in the Transportation Branch, . Supply Chain &Support Division, Supply Chain Directorate. The primary purpose of this position is to manage transport operations affecting shipment of commissary resale products to DeCA stores worldwide.

    Duties

  • Prepares correspondence and reports relating to all matters of transportation and advises the Branch Chief of
    potential problems.
  • Conducts studies and reviews transportation plans to determine the most economical and expedient means of
    transporting commissary products, operating supplies, and equipment worldwide.
  • Manages DeCA Transportation Payment process through US Bank Syncada or similar automated payment system.
  • Approves carrier bills for bank payment and coordinates with DFAS for payments to the bank.
  • Conducts transportation cost studies by analyzing data items, such as billed costs, and directed booked costs.
