    TITLE: Quality Engineer FAI/NPA

    POSITION TYPE: Full Time (W2)

    LOCATION: Coppell, TX

    WHO we're looking for:

    We are looking for a Quality Engineer - FAI/NPA who will be responsible for researching and testing the design, functionality and maintenance of products, equipment, systems and processes and develop quality standards. A typical quality engineer has the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and evaluate product integrity and standards - First Article Inspections (FAI) and Non-Performance (NPA).

    Role and Responsibilities:
    • Generate new product quality inspection reports for internal teams and customers.
    • Generate inspection plans/checklists for utilizing at incoming inspection.
    • Conduct/monitor customer incoming inspection results and incorporate changes to inspection checklist accordingly.
    • Assist/support IQA staff and senior level Quality Engineer staff.
    • Coordinate various customer/internal requirements and ensure internal controls are in place to support them.
    • Provide an interface between HQ/factory and internal teams for root cause/corrective action effectiveness.
    • Assist IQA team in enforcing root cause and corrective actions are effective for on-going product quality.
    • Work with the appropriate groups to disposition discrepant material found during quality inspections.
    • Co-op with IQA lab manager, leads, test technicians and inspectors on new processes implemented/planned.
    • Apply basic knowledge of departmental principles and procedures.
    • Perform work within company and regulatory guidelines.
    Required Experience and Education:
    • 2-5 years of job-related experience preferred.
    • Prior experience in telecommunications engineering is a plus.
    • Bachelor's Degree required with preference of Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent.
    • Experience with MS Office, including but not limited to, Excel, Word, and Access.
    Necessary Skills and Attributes:
    • Self-motivated individual with the ability to thrive in a team-based or independent environment.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organization skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Limited supervision and the exercise of discretion.
    • Korean Bilingual is required (speaking, reading, translating to English).
    • Must be able to speak in mathematical/statistical terms (normality, probability, complex numbers, and logarithms are commonly used as references).
    • Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with multiple levels within the company and with external contacts including customers, authorized service agents, sales & equipment service representatives, etc.
    • Ability to gather and analyze data from multiple sources, prepare spreadsheets, charts, graphs and tables of information and to plan and prioritize multiple work assignments.
    • Ability to read, write, provide critical technical review and prepare reports, technical manuals, test procedures and technical product information.
    • Demonstrated English language competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external communications, especially in training of repair technicians communication of troubleshooting techniques.
    • Due to fast pace business trend and characteristics of this team, daily HQ video conference, HQ communication beyond normal working hours & weekend dedication will be required as business support is needed.
    • Demonstrated ability to solve problems involving highly diverse conditions requiring creativity to search for solutions among learned things.

    While performing the duties of this job, the contract employee is occasionally required to stand, clean, crawl, kneel, sit, sort, hold, squat, stoop, stand, twist the body, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs or ladders and scaffolding, talk or hear, and lift up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include ability to distinguish the nature of objects by using the eye. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between 50% - 95% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity.

    Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines. May require working additional time beyond normal schedule and periodic travel.
