    Description

    Software Engineer (Python) - Hybrid in Denver, CO

    Optomi in partnership with a leading broadband communications company and one of the largest cable operator in the United States are seeking a skilled Python Developer to join our dynamic team. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, implement new features, and optimize existing systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Python development, along with experience in building scalable and efficient applications.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and deploy Python-based applications and services to meet business requirements.
    • Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
    • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following coding standards and best practices.
    • Perform code reviews, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure software quality and reliability.
    • Optimize application performance and scalability through code optimization, caching strategies, and system enhancements.
    • Implement security measures and best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
    • Document software designs, technical specifications, and development processes.
    • Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in Python development.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
    • Proven experience as a Python Developer or Software Engineer, with a strong portfolio of projects.
    • Proficiency in Python programming language and related frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask).
    • Solid understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.
    • Experience with database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and ORM frameworks.
    • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) is a plus.
