    Generac Industrial Connectivity is a cutting-edge team that is working to provide end-to-end digital solutions for customers who are facing the challenge of managing increasingly complex portfolios of industrial power equipment/infrastructure.


    As a Software Engineer at Generac, you will be part of a growing group of problem solvers who think outside the box and push boundaries to deliver innovative customer solutions.

    You will be focused on modernizing our frontend to create new web and mobile experiences for our industrial IoT platform to enable customers to effectively monitor and leverage their distributed energy equipment.

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities

    Apply your experience building scalable and responsive user experiences to our suite of web applications
    Collaborate with product, UX, software development and engineering on new feature design and rollout
    Focus on the customer and think iteratively to drive value in each sprint
    Explain complex technical concepts to customer support, product managers and other engineers
    Have a bias for action and constructively identify problems and propose solutions
    Work independently and with your team to deliver software
    Share your high bar for quality and excellence by emphasizing coding standards, maintainability, scalability and testability
    Challenge the status quo, engage in technical discussions, code reviews, and design docs to promote a culture of learning and constant improvement

    Minimal Qualifications:
    B.S. in Computer Science or Software Engineering or related discipline
    3 years of software development experience with frontend focus and knowledge of the full stack
    3 years of experience working with a cloud provider, preferably AWS
    3 years of experience working with frontend frameworks, preferably React

    Knowledge/Skills:
    Strong understanding of software engineering principles and SDLC
    Passion for reliable, scalable, observable software with a strong sense of ownership
    Knowledge of frontend best practices and a desire to stay on top of the latest technical trends
    Naturally curious and growth oriented
    Ability to contribute to open source projects

    Physical demands:


    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.

    The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

    Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

    Occasional travel.


    Compensation:
    Generac is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role based in Denver, Colorado is $90,000-120,000 USD. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled.

    Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
