Nephron's products are sterile, preservative and additive free and proudly made in the USA We are headquartered in West Columbia, South Carolina.

Our location provides the ability to develop new devices and medications including respiratory therapies, ophthalmics, and injectables, for in-house or contract manufacturing opportunities.

The facility utilizes completely automated manufacturing, packaging, and distribution systems, in addition to high volume and redundant utility systems, to ensure production system availability.

Nephron specializes in Blow-Fill

Seal (BFS) manufacturing, a niche technology that allows a vial of medication to be formed, filled and sealed in a continuous process, in a sterile, enclosed environment and without human intervention.

As an industry leader in product safety and quality, Nephron produces a variety of inhalation solutions, and has distributed over 1 billion doses of respiratory medication per year since 2009.

Nephron is currently working on research and development projects that include over 50 new products.

The company's longstanding relationships with major drug wholesalers allow us to distribute our products to retail pharmacies, mail order pharmacies, hospitals, home care companies, and long-term care facilities.

Nephron has a sales force that covers all fifty states and Puerto Rico, with additional sales channels throughout South America, the Middle East, and Europe.

Position Summary:

Oversee and assists the line technician in the maintenance and operation of production and support equipmentMonitor, train and motivate shift line techs.

Report disciplinary problems to management. Oversee and maintain all engineering floor equipment. Report equipment problems to management.
Assists with additional work duties or responsibilities as evident or required.

Oversee, monitor, train, motivate and support line tech personnel. Filling in for lunches or absencesEnsures proper maintenance and repair of down equipment.
Reports disciplinary and equipment problems to management.

May be required to monitor utility systems throughout the siteKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Engineering degree or 8-10+ years equivalent experience Prior electrical/electronic/mechanical experience required. Previous Line Technician experience preferred. Previous experience with B/F/S or Packaging equipment a plusLeadership skills a plus.

Must have working knowledge of power transmission, hydraulics, pneumatic systems, vacuum systems, electric motors, belt drive systems, linear motion systems, and Blow/Fill/Seal systems.

Specific expertise, skills and knowledge within engineering gained through education and experience.
The ability to take strategic objectives and accept accountability to drive results through effective actions.
The ability and willingness to change direction and focus to meet shifting organizational and business demands.

Position requires reaching (waist to overhead), bending (waist to floor), climbing (floor to ceiling), lifting (up to 50 lbs), vision (20/20), good hearing, standing (50% of shift time),crawling, sitting, gripping, talking and walking (50% of shift time).

Exposed to the environmental factor of heat.
Incumbents are required to comply with proper gowning requirements and other non-specified protective equipment as necessary.

Incumbents may be required to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, bouffant, and laboratory coats and other non-specified protective equipment as necessary.

Rotating shift work will be required. Shift assignment may be adjusted as needed.

Salary range:
Based on experience.
Available for on-call per managements request.
