- Serves as a resource to prospective students, parents, and the community regarding the school and the admission process.
- Interprets admissions policies and procedures and responds to general questions about campus life, academic programs, and the admission process and requirements.
- Prepares for and executes student shadow days.
- Works collaboratively with the marketing and communication teams.
- Works with the team to coordinate appropriate follow-up with prospective families - phone calls, emails, connecting appropriate faculty and coaches, etc.
- Keeps track of applicants throughout the admissions process.
- Schedules and assigns tours with prospective families.
- Assists the Associate Director in planning and preparing for admission events.
- Communicates daily with faculty and current students regarding shadows, hosts and schedules.
- Drives development of parent ambassador program for school.
- Well-versed in all aspects of Gilmour Academy - including mission, curriculum, programming, athletics, etc.
- Performs related duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in some area of student affairs or prior Admissions experience - preferred
- Demonstrated ability to make independent judgments and work under pressure.
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to travel and work irregular and flexible hours.
- Familiarity with online computer systems
