    Description

    Our client is a global industrial products manufacturing firm with operations in the Howard City area. This is a 3rd Shift Value Stream Leader responsible for supervising a team of 20+ hourly production associates in producing high-quality products. As the VSL, you will be responsible for:

    • Supervising and coordinating the activities of production, ensuring adherence to production schedules and deadlines.
    • Monitoring production processes to identify opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
    • Training and leading production staff on standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and quality control measures.
    • Maintaining a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety inspections, and addressing any safety concerns promptly.
    • Monitoring inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate supply of materials and equipment for production.
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance, to resolve production issues and optimize efficiency.
    • Conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback, and addressing any performance issues or disciplinary actions as necessary.
    • Implementing and enforcing company policies and procedures related to production, quality control, and employee conduct.
    • Analyzing production data and generating reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs), such as production output, efficiency, and quality metrics.
    • Fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among production staff.

    The ideal candidate will possess:

    • A bachelor's degree in Engineer, Business, or related fields
    • 5+ years of manufacturing industry experience with at least 3 years in an operations leadership role
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to problem solve
