Description
Job Overview:
This position is part of the Accounting Department, Finance Division of The Company.
The Accounts Payable Technician performs duties that contribute to the success of invoices being paid timely and accurately, while maintaining a good working relationship with vendors, colleagues across departments, and internal team members.
Responsibilities:
Manage email inbox where invoices are received, process invoices intake, make first assessment on whether invoices meet general requirements, and communicate with vendors promptly if necessary.
Enter invoices in accounting system.
Communicate to Project Managers In-charge and Contracting Officers when issues arise that need prompt attention.
Serve as a point of contact to vendors to answer inquiries regarding invoice and purchase order details, payment status, etc.
Assist with other ad-hoc duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:
Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to effectively present information to management.
Desired Qualifications Experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Adobe and Oracle familiarity preferred.The hiring range for this position is $27 to $32 per hour.
The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity, and may also vary depending on candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience amongst other factors.
