    Our services have expanded from architectural design and historic preservation to steward all aspects of our clients vision from start to finish, including planning, landscape architecture, interior design, and visualization.

    We are seeking a professional to lead our preservation team to uphold and bolster our legacy of historic preservation work.

    We're looking for a licensed architect with ten or more years of experience planning and developing medium- to large-scope projects with many complexities, as well as executing and coordinating projects, and may have also overseen a large staff of architects and technicians.

    This role will be responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments. Plans and develops architectural projects concerning unique and/or controversial complexities that significantly impact major company programs.

    Involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope, selection of items for investigation, and development of novel concepts and methods.

    They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.
    Participate in field assignments such as conditions and measurement surveys
    Proactive communication, collaborative problem solving, three-dimensional thinking, and self-direction
    Stewardship planning, writing, graphic analysis, and preservation design
    Working understanding of current and historic building and site technologies
    Prepare analysis of existing conditions and treatment options in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties
    Participate in all stages of project development, performing conceptual analysis documentation assignments, and developing CDs elements with limited supervision
    Participate in design review and documentation to meet State Historic Preservation Office and consulting agency requirements
    Assist in the coordination of drawings and specifications
    Represent the client in obtaining bids and awarding construction contracts
    Assist in construction observation activities and the development of associated field reports, RFI responses, submittal reviews, and ASIs
    Contribute to collaborative and effective working relationships with clients, the project team, and associated stakeholders
    Ensure quality products are delivered that meet agreed upon firm standards
    Full responsibility for managing all aspects of multiple small to midsize projects
    Prepares strategic plans for project success
    Serves as primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the clients satisfaction
    Actively manages client budgets, schedules and programs; project communications and documentation
    Office administrative tasks and project team assignments

    Oversees and coordinates with project production team to provide technical and design oversight and resolve problems
    Assigns project tasks to technical and design team, responsible for managing schedules
    Create, build, and maintain a talented and efficient team
    Mentorship of architects and designers to develop career paths

    Prepares fee proposals and coordinates owner contract with client
    Coordination of all project efforts for administrative and technical aspects to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects
    Prepare schedules representing the delivery of contracts documents
    Manage project finances, including manpower schedule, consulting contracts, and tracking and reporting on project progress
    Review and approve accounts payable and receivables

    Marketing

    Absolute ownership of developing relationships with clients, both new and existing
    Responsible for ensuring revenue stream and profitability goals for the preservation team
    Provides new business through contacts in his/her field
    Estimates fees, determines scope of work and prepares project proposals and contracts
    Represents client in obtaining bids and awarding construction contracts
    Update relevant stakeholders or team members on the project progress
    Coach and support project team members with tasks you assign them
    Qualifications/Education/Experience


    Experience Minimum Requirements:
    Experience : 10+ years of preservation experience in project management and design

    Education :
    NAAB Accredited Professional Degree


    Software Experience Requirements:
    Basic review capability in CAD software, preferably Revit
    3D Modeling skills in Revit and/or Sketchup
    Enterprise-level project management & financial management software skills in a program such as Deltek Vantagepoint

    Preferred Experience:
    Established reputation as an expert in relevant field of expertise.

    Ability to represent CRSA to community, including participation on community and professional boards
    Strong business acumen in project planning and management

    Ability to successfully manage change
    Fiscal management skills including budgeting, reporting, and resource planning
    Personnel management skills including mentoring, retention, and reviews
    Strategic thinking, problem solving, foresight and decision-making skills
