TITLE:
Chairperson - Related Services


JOB DESCRIPTION:


Provide leadership to district related services staff in providing services to special education or identified students; coordinating services for special education or identified students with others in the Student Support Department.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Arizona certification/registration in related service areas such as Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapists, Teacher of Deaf/hard of Hearing, Vision Specialist, or Adaptive Physical Education
  • Three (3) years successful experience in a public school setting
  • Ability to travel to more than one work location in the course of the day as assigned

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Facilitate regular meetings with related services staff.
  • Participate on interview committee to screen and interview applicants.
  • Provide leadership in the area of inservice and staff professional development for related services staff.
  • Advise the Director of Student Support and /or Coordinator of Behavior, Social & Health Services with assignment/schedules for related services staff.
  • Review needs and assist in preparation of purchase requests for materials used by related services staff.
  • Represent Related Services at district meetings.
  • Ensure uniformity of service provision through consultation with site personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
