- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, and services.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Architect solutions that are simple, secure, efficient, and maintainable.
- Write clean, well-designed, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to address them.
- Stay abreast with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in backend development.
- Document design decisions, technical specifications, and implementation details.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to deploy and manage backend services in production environments.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role, with a robust portfolio demonstrating backend development skills.
- Proficiency in PHP backend programming language and it's framework (Laravel preferred).
- Solid understanding of database technologies, including relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
- Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, microservices and event driven architecture, and message queue systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS is ideal).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
