    Description

    Our Regional Sales Managers act as a liaison between employees involved in completing sales processes and our customers. They are responsible for maintaining and growing our existing customer base within their territory to achieve company revenue forecasts and goals.

    Responsibilities

    • Recommend product placement and enhancement to improve sales potential and customer satisfaction with sell through.
    • Develop field sales action plans to facilitate the implementation of regional and national sales programs.
    • Maintain relationships with customers to support selling activities and discuss their evolving needs
    • Develop rapport with appropriate staff members on all accounts, communicate with staff during service calls and respond to customer requests.
    • Audit stores, merchandise and stock products at various customer sites to improve shelf positioning and increase product display space.
    • Establish sales objectives by projecting expected sales volume and forecasting for the region.
    • Keep current on economic indicators, changing trends, supply and demand and competitors to maintain sales volume and product mix while increasing distribution.
    • Follow up on new leads to grow DSD network within region and/or to acquire new accounts for existing DSD customers.
    • Represent the brand at regional and national trade shows throughout the year.
    • Document and report on customer interactions and maintain data related to activities, accounts and partners.
    • Primary focus on managing full-service DSD distributors within assigned region

    Qualifications

    Qualified candidates will generally have the following education, knowledge, skills and abilities:

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration or related field OR
    • Minimum five (5) years' experience in sales or related field
    • Self-starter with strong motivation and ability to work independently
    • Ability to multitask with strong organizational skills
    • Excellent analytical skills
    • Excellent customer service and ability to build relationships
    • Knowledge of supply chain, sales planning and market analysis
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
    • Creative problem-solving skills
    • Ability to manage and maintain book of business
    • Industry knowledge, a plus
