Apply for our Information Technology department at our location in Essen as a System Administrator (m/f/d) in the data center and become part of our team With approximately 1,000 employees, we secure the drinking water supply for 4.6 million people in one of the largest metropolitan areas in Europe and preserve the essential resource of water for future generations.

In order to fulfill this great responsibility, we operate more than 800 technical facilities, including dams, sewage treatment plants, and sewer networks, and develop efficient solutions for sustainable resource management.


Your tasks:

  • Installation and operation of applications
  • Operational control
  • Troubleshooting
  • System, database, and network administration
  • Installation, maintenance, and administration of Linux and Windows systems
  • Participation in projects and first and secondlevel support
  • Creation of operational concepts
  • Documentation

You offer us:

  • Successfully completed training in the field of computer science
  • Experience in application operation
  • Familiarity with IT processes and ticket systems
  • Conceptual work
  • Teamwork, communication, and social skills
  • Initiative, goal and results orientation, as well as decisiveness
  • German language proficiency at least B2 level
  • Optional: SAP ECC, S/4HANA knowledge
