- Define optimal Supplier management strategies, scorecards, and implement for key categories, in an effort to monitor & improve supplier performance.
- Facilitate meetings and discussions to execute appropriate corrective action when necessary.

- Provide expert advice on procurement strategies and best practices.

- Negotiate and manage complex contracts and agreements for assigned commodities in accordance with Trystar's objectives, policies and procedures.
- Lead the supplier selection process within a cross-functional team.
- Manage suppliers, costs, quality, and delivery performance.
- Understand, track, and forecast the key cost drivers and market factors for assigned commodities.
- Support the Planners and other manufacturing partners on tactical needs, as required.
- Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the procurement process.
- Effectively represent the department on cross-functional teams within Trystar or other companies.
- Demonstrated ability to develop the leadership potential in others desired.
- Strong knowledge of products including cost drivers, commodity market conditions and pricing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to perform detailed Corporate Category studies and market research worldwide.

Trystar's team members are our most important asset, and this position plays a critical role in achieving our strategic objectives. As an Indirect Category Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the procurement and management of all Trystar's Indirect Materials and Services. These typically include goods and services that are not directly incorporated into a product being manufactured, such as factory supplies, cutting tools, marketing materials, and/or professional services. Leveraging all Trystar spend for competitive pricing and support function in the business for Contracts. This role reports to the Director of Sourcing and could be based on any of our Trystar sites in the United States: Faribault, MN, Troy, MI, Merrimack, NH, Murfreesboro, TN, Burnsville, MN, Waukesha, WI, or Burnsville, MN.
