    Description
    Duties * Serves as an Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Officer.

    * Develops a Force Protection program to protect Department of Defense (DOD) personnel, facilities, automated information, and assets from an entire spectrum of threats including terrorism by assessing Antiterrorism/Force Protection needs.

    * Assists with the implementation of the crisis management program planning and execution in the event of terrorist attack or other emergency situations.

    * Develops the installation Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) related plans, assessments, exercises, and coordinates these fully within the installation, its tenant organizations and supporting agencies.

    Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

    * This position requires a Top Secret Security clearance.

    * This position is designated a Key position, in the event of a national crisis or war, incumbent must be able to work shift work or varying shifts beyond the eight-hour day.

    * This position is covered by the civilian drug abuse testing program. * This is an obligated position.

    Specialized Experience:

    One year of specialized experience which includes developing, implementing, and maintaining anti-terrorism and force protection programs protecting personnel, facilities, automated information and/or assets from a variety of threats; and communicating with senior management at various levels to ensure antiterrorism requirements are compliant.

    This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

    Grade Requirement:

    Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

    Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements and minimum qualification requirements prescribed by OPM within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.

    Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.
