Description
Duties * Serves as an Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Officer.* Develops a Force Protection program to protect Department of Defense (DOD) personnel, facilities, automated information, and assets from an entire spectrum of threats including terrorism by assessing Antiterrorism/Force Protection needs.
* Assists with the implementation of the crisis management program planning and execution in the event of terrorist attack or other emergency situations.
* Develops the installation Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) related plans, assessments, exercises, and coordinates these fully within the installation, its tenant organizations and supporting agencies.
Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* This position requires a Top Secret Security clearance.* This position is designated a Key position, in the event of a national crisis or war, incumbent must be able to work shift work or varying shifts beyond the eight-hour day.

One year of specialized experience which includes developing, implementing, and maintaining anti-terrorism and force protection programs protecting personnel, facilities, automated information and/or assets from a variety of threats; and communicating with senior management at various levels to ensure antiterrorism requirements are compliant.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
