    Description
    Duties * Responsible for formulating, managing, reviewing, interpreting, analyzing, and evaluating operating programs and projects.

    * Develop detailed strategy and background documentation for presenting the MACOM's programs to higher headquarters and Office of Management and Budget (OMB).

    * Review and interpret HQDA Program and Budget Guidance.

    Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

    * This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

    * This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

    * This is a Financial Management Level 2 certified position designated Incumbent is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.

    Specialized Experience:

    One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves providing advice and recommendations on all aspects of assigned budget programs and making necessary changes/revisions based upon continual reviews; reviewing and interpreting program and budgetary guidance; validating financial programs and manpower data in order to ensure the efficiency and effective use of command resources.

    This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

    You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

    • Decision Making Time in

    Grade Requirement:

    Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).

    Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneNO SUBSTITUTE of education for experience is permitted.

    Additional information * Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
