- Must have or secure and maintain appropriate states adjuster license(s) and continuing education credits

- Analyzes, evaluates and negotiates claims of minimal complexity
- Identifies possibly suspicious claims
- Phone contact with customers is required to confirm cause, coverage, liability and damages
- Settlement and reserve authority levels are appropriate based on experience and supervisory guidance
- May be part of a formal training program

- May work with the Special Investigations Unit to resolve and negotiate settlement
- May be required to have and maintain sufficient home-based internet connection
- Associate's Degree; Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent
- Typically has 1 to 3 years work experience in Claims with a focus on customer service or equivalent related industry experience
- Technical knowledge in Auto and/or WC coverages
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Basic understanding and ability to read legal documents a plus; such as paralegal or general legal support experience

POSITION OVERVIEW:
In this role you will be trained to handle lost time claims which lead to a strong and established career path in Workers Compensation. Responsible for the investigation and resolution of complex medical only and lost time claims of low complexity in accordance with policy provisions, best practices and jurisdictional requirements. Includes the input of claim data and guiding insured's and claimants through the claim process and options.
