What we need...

This role involves managing the release of medical records efficiently and with precision, ensuring top-notch customer service and compliance with privacy regulations. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in Health Information Management (HIM) and possesses strong organizational and leadership skills.

Process requests for patient health information according to company protocols.
Maintain strict confidentiality and security standards for sensitive data.
Stay up-to-date on company and facility software.
Uphold codes of conduct and policies at all times.
Communicate any work-related issues to management promptly.
Handle additional tasks as needed.
Ensure compliance with medical privacy regulations.
Manage patient health records accurately and securely.
Prepare and organize patient charts.
Respond to record requests efficiently and accurately.
Assist with administrative duties and patient inquiries.
Train and support junior team members.
Generate reports and contribute to operational initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required:

High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 18 years of age.
1 year of Health Information experience.
Proficiency in basic computer skills.
Strong data entry skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
Detail-oriented and quality-focused.
Ability to multitask and work independently.
Good problem-solving abilities.

Preferred:

Prior experience in a metric-driven work environment.
Customer service experience.
Ability to establish strong client relationships.
Comfortable providing feedback and process improvement ideas.

Working conditions & physical demands

This role typically involves working in an office setting with minimal exposure to hazardous conditions. Candidates should be able to stand and sit, reach overhead, and lift moderate weights. Accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities. Some travel may be required.
