What you'll do

  • You will be responsible for designing and conducting experiments on SAP data, specifically in the areas of Neural Machine Translation and Large Language Models.
  • You will assist with preparing training data for machine translation, including data cleaning, collection, and quality assurance.
  • You will adapt opensource NLP tools for use in an SAP context, including data preparation, annotation, training, and evaluation.

What you bring
You are currently enrolled as a student at a university or university of applied sciences:

  • Studying in fields such as Natural Language Processing, Computer Science, or Computational Linguistics
  • Proficiency in Java and Python (at least one of the two), with experience in a Linux environment and shell scripting being a plus
  • Knowledge of Natural Language Processing concepts
  • Preferably, experience with machine translation and machine learning, as well as practical experience with MT toolkits (such as Marian and Sockeye), Large Language Models, and NLP tools in general (such as Apache OpenNLP, Stanford CoreNLP, and Apache UIMA). Experience with NLPrelated deep learning toolkits and frameworks is also beneficial.
  • Previous work experience in software development is highly advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with German being a plus
