- System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of computer systems, including installing updates, patches, and security fixes.
- Server Configuration: Configure, install, and maintain server hardware and software, including operating systems and applications.
- Network Management: Monitor network performance, troubleshoot network issues, and optimize network configuration for maximum efficiency and reliability.
- Backup and Recovery: Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability in case of system failures.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls, to protect systems and data from unauthorized access.
- User Support: Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues and resolving technical problems in a timely manner.
- Documentation: Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to ensure knowledge transfer and maintain system integrity.
- Capacity Planning: Monitor system performance and resource utilization, and recommend upgrades or enhancements to meet current and future business needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, such as Windows Server, Linux, and Unix.
- Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Bash, for automation tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications, such as MCSE, MCSA, CCNA, or CompTIA Network+, are a plus.
