The German Weather Service (DWD) is seeking a Scientific Employee (m/f/d) in the field of "Weather Forecast" at the Offenbach am Main location as part of the "Innovation in Applied Research and Development" (IAFE) program, starting as soon as possible for a period of 4 years.


The project, titled "Adam" (= Adaptive Process Chains for Automated Creation and Processing of Warning Information), is an essential part of the DWD's program for the development of the warning system (RainBoW) and focuses on the continued automation of the warning process.

The main task of the position is to design and prototype the necessary procedures and processing chains.

This includes designing unified interfaces and a control mechanism to link both new and existing procedures, creating a flexible and adaptable system that can support future developments.
