    Development Associate/Senior Development Associate

    We are thrilled to be hiring for a Development Associate/Senior Development Associate position at University of California, Berkeley's University Development & Alumni Relations.

    Departmental Overview

    The University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR) team plays a crucial role in achieving Berkeley's philanthropic goals through various activities like public outreach and fundraising.

    One of the key areas within UDAR is the Principal Gifts & Strategic Initiatives (PGSI) team, which focuses on building relationships with high-level donors to support Berkeley's mission and priorities.

    Position Overview

    • Design, develop, and administer fundraising programs
    • Prepare background information on donors
    • Draft briefing materials for senior campus leadership
    • Partner with development officers to create giving opportunities
    • Craft tailored donor engagements
    • Support international donor engagements for the Chancellor

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate on prospect advancement with PGSI team
    • Write and edit materials for high-level prospects/donors
    • Develop highly bespoke proposals
    • Manage projects for prospect moves
    • Plan and execute prospect/donor visits
    • Work on special projects to advance development goals

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Knowledge of UC Berkeley campus
    • Event planning proficiency/interest
