    As a Sr.

    Data Analyst within PNC's Enterprise Data Governance organization, you will be based in Cleveland, OH, Pittsburgh, PA, Dallas, TX, or Charlotte, NC.

    The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion.

    As a Sr.

    Data Analyst, you will maintain and optimize PNC's Alation data catalog, where you will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through ongoing data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment.

    You will also be responsible for supporting data discovery and understanding, where you will assist users in finding relevant data assets by providing guidance on search queries, navigation, and data lineage analysis.

    Additionally, you will work to promote data governance and compliance, specifically by collaboration with stakeholders to define and implement data governance policies within the Alation platform.

    You will also analyze usage data and generate reports, monitoring user activity and data access patterns to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

    And finally, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of training materials, where you will create and deliver engaging training sessions to educate users on Alation functionalities and best practices.


    Due to the nature of the position we are seeking candidates who have proven experience working with the Alation data catalog.

    Candidates should have a strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices as well as analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Additionally, preferred candidates will have the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences and have experience in the development and delivery of training materials.

    Job DescriptionManages and develops information systems for clients; conducts data information analysis for a variety of studies under the direction of organizational standards.

    Advises end-users on data manipulation, end-user support systems and statistical analysis.
    Selects new information sources and acquires stock. Catalogs and indexes new materials.
    Implements and supports technologies for managing and effectively utilizing multiple information sources, formats and uses.
    Researches customers needs, conducts awareness and promotional sessions for potential customers.

    Informatics/Information Sciences – Knowledge of and the ability to gather, communicate and store useful information within and across organizations in order to enhance employee knowledge and improve organizational performance.

    Information Management – Knowledge of an organization's existing and planned Information Architecture and Information Management (IM) methodology; ability to collect and manage information from different sources, and distribute this information to enhance operational efficiency.

    IT Environment – Knowledge of an organization's IT purposes, activities and standards; ability to create an effective IT environment for business operations.


    Modeling:

    Data, Process, Events, Objects – Knowledge of and the ability to use tools and techniques for analyzing and documenting logical relationships among data, processes or events.

    Requirements Analysis – Knowledge of methods and techniques to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements; ability to analyze these requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.

    Work Experience


    Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience.

    Certifications are often desired.

    In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
