Description

Responsibilities:
Evaluate machines for issues.
Perform general and preventative maintenance duties including basic electrical.
Train other employees to perform the functions of the position.
Ensure all equipment and facilities operate properly and efficiently.
Work with the production team to make sure that all equipment is properly working.
Clean/organize tools and machine shop areas.
Report any machine or materials problems to the supervisor/management team.
Train/assist machine operators as needed.
Help other maintenance personnel wherever needed.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must pass maintenance aptitude test.
Three to five years' experience of mechanical maintenance in paper converting environment.
Successful completion of the formal courses listed by the Tech in the Industrial maintenance program

Some could be:

welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, basic electricity, fluid power, ladder logic and control devices, programmable logic, controllers 1, elements of machines, electrical power systems, DC 1 & 2, AC, industrial maintenance math, motor control, electrical schematic reading motor control 2, industrial electronics basic and advanced, and PLC.

Also 6,000 hours on the job through the maintenance progression plan.
Desire to pursue continued education when required.
Mechanically inclined and excellent troubleshooting skills.
Possess legible handwriting.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to reach above shoulders, bend, twist, turn, and walk.
Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Sensory requirements are:
communication, hearing, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus vision.
