Purpose/Introduction:

This position within the Global Procurement Leadership Team (GPLT) will report directly to the General Manager, Global Procurement (GP).

The Business Performance Manager will be responsible for overseeing GP process innovation and excellence, supply market intelligence, data analytics and performance metrics, digitization initiatives, procurement systems, procurement processes, procedures and standards, departmental budget development and administration.

This role encompasses adherence to corporate compliance inclusive of all procurement activities and functions within GP.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage a highly functioning team of individual contributors, leading continuous improvement efforts in process, systems, and analytics to drive innovation, establish new technology solutions, and empower procurement professionals to deliver bestinclass performance
  • Support the annual business strategy development and budget preparation
  • Implement and monitor data analytics and performance metrics (KPI's) as well as global supply market intelligence for companywide use
  • Oversees adherence to GP governance and compliance policy and programs
  • Oversee the development and implementation of training, support and documentation for GP as new processes, innovations and systems are introduced
  • Delivers and drives the use of tools and bestofbreed methodologies to mitigate business risks through process improvement templates, standardization technologies, Segregation of Duties [SOD] methodologies, etc.
  • Develops and drives adherence to best practice through metrics and gap closure plans for GP
  • Under direction from General Manager of Global Procurement, develops and maintains GP policies and procedures and serves as SME for all Global Procurement Policy questions
  • Provides communication and guidance to plants and business units on new processes or the deployment of processes in new locations
  • Interact with internal stakeholders to collaborate, communicate, and align regarding procurement objectives and strategy.

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Analytics or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years manufacturing or commercial experience
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP system relative to procurement process and activities
  • Proven experience with Business Communications, both verbal and written communications
  • General knowledge of contracting and an understanding of the legal framework of business
  • Have a thorough understanding of procurement processes and systems

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Industry specific experience in energy, oil and gas or chemical/petrochemical 30
  • Contract negotiations and Strategic Sourcing experience 30
  • Lean Six Sigma training and certification
  • Proficient in SAP regarding Purchase Order transactional processing (or other ERP) 10
  • Ability to influence leaders and partners during challenging situations
  • Proficient at managing significant internal stakeholders and external supplier relationships at multiple levels in their organizations. 20
  • Proven experience driving compliance with procurement policies and practices 10
  • Proficient in PowerBI
