    The Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for IT infrastructure-based tasks. These tasks may range from leading technical support functions or efforts to larger engineering projects, or production support tasks. The Technical Support Engineer will be accountable for providing leadership within technical support while assisting infrastructure technology groups with the health, uptime, and documentation, of Tier 3 infrastructure and/or applications. In addition, as an active technology team member, the incumbent will be responsible for providing support for assigned infrastructure platforms, systems, and applications for their given technology groups. The Technical Support Engineer will work under the guidance of the Manager, End User Computing, or other senior team technology members.

    • Active Participant within the Technical Support Team providing the group technology ownership, next level support and leadership for focused technologies.
    • Responsible for performing Technical Support Specialist tasks as requested to meet business needs and ensure the success of the Technical Support Team.
    • Document configurations and process knowledge base information for engineering, technical support for assigned technology groups.
    • Execute the daily monitoring, alerting, and status reviews for assigned technology groups and provides corrective actions as needed.
    • Support and execute tasks required to resolve product support issues if/when a business impact is reported or discovered.
    • Perform documented production support tasks such as participating in code promotion activities and system/infrastructure upgrades, required in order to maintain the infrastructure, applications, and services to the business.
    • Provide technology feedback, roadmap, and recommendations to technology owners for assigned technology groups.
    • Evaluate, install, configure, and maintain infrastructure platforms, systems, and applications.
    Requirements:
    • Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or two years of
      work experience in an IT support role required.
    • Expert understanding of Windows Server and Desktop Operating systems required.
    • Working knowledge of networking and TCP/IP networking required.
    • Working knowledge of Active Directory required.
    • Knowledge of VMware vCenter, SAN storage technology, and Microsoft Exchange Management a
      plus.
    • Knowledge of network security technology and infrastructure platforms a plus.
    • Knowledge of unified communications technology and infrastructure platforms a plus.
    • Highly self-driven with a strong desire to learn new technologies and be an active technology
      team member.
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills a must.
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Must be organized with strong time management skills to meet strict deadlines.
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce with accuracy are a must.
