    Universal Orlando Resort believes working together in-person is crucial for success. Most Team Members have a hybrid work setup, being at the office at least three days a week. Some roles require full-time on-site presence. Remote options may exist in certain departments. Details will be discussed during the hiring process.

    JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Software Engineer specializing in SAP Commerce (Hybris) plays a vital role in maintaining the reliability, performance, and scalability of our SAP Commerce application platform. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and managing the platform, as well as promptly addressing incidents. This position collaborates closely with various teams like front-end, mobile app, and service development, as well as architecture, infrastructure, operations, and security, to deliver top-notch enhancements to the ecommerce platform.


    The Senior Software Engineer will offer technical guidance to Software Engineers and the Ecommerce Application Engineering team, ensuring adherence to best development practices. Handling technical challenges is also part of the job. Moreover, this role involves ongoing support for all web applications, contributing to high-level requirements, and detailing specifications for the development team. The individual must swiftly grasp supporting business processes and convert them into system designs aligned with company objectives.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Collaborate with team members, vendors, business partners, and Technology teams on projects, application support, development, and standardization.
    • Design, test, implement, upgrade, and maintain large-scale business applications.
    • Analyze internal and external technical processes, document findings, pinpoint areas for improvement, and create specifications.
    • Engage with SAP to ensure platform monitoring and incident resolution.
    • Create and revise technical plans, coordinate efforts with other teams, and document SOPs for new or updated processes.
    • Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities as per UO policy by following established procedures and activities.
    • Complete any other assigned duties.

    EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related fields.

    EXPERIENCE:

    • At least 5 years of programming and software development experience.
    • Minimum 3 years of SAP Commerce (Hybris) development, implementation, and support.
    • Experience with SAP CCV2 and end-to-end B2C and B2B commerce operations and implementations.
