    Description

    The Tavistock Group is seeking a highly motivated, organized individual to serve as an IT Support Specialist in oversite of our MicrosoftCiscoFortinet based environment. The successful candidate will provide timely and professional support to internal & external users, while contributing to the upgrade, maintenance, and implementation of IT infrastructure, security, and network solutions. Candidate should be well-versed in help desk procedures, Windows / MAC Desktop Operating Systems, Active Directory, and network technologies. This position will be responsible for documenting all IT support activity and will need to work closely and efficiently with various internal employees and external vendors. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide technical support to staff utilizing Windows 11 / 10 / MS Office based workstations.
    • Should be able to independently handle helpdesk requests and be able to work on multiple tickets/issues at a given time.
    • Assist in the management and oversite of the company's Cybersecurity platforms.
    • Supports company's offsite locations (workstation, application, network support)
    • Build, replace, and upgrade desktop hardware (Dell, Microsoft, Apple based hardware)
    • Moving desktops/monitors and setup per user requirements (setup new workstations)
    • Manage AD including user/group rights and permissions
    • Setup VOIP phones and related equipment
    • Track case tickets within a helpdesk management system to document resolutions for future reference
    • Participate in after-hours support
    • Create documentation for utilization of new equipment/services
    • All other duties as assigned
    Requirements

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
    • Minimum 2-year college education, Bachelor's degree preferred
    • 4+ years relevant work experience.
    • CompTIA A+ and Net+ certifications preferred
    • Proficiency in the use of Office 365 services, including SharePoint, OneDrive, OneNote, and Teams.
    • Basic networking proficiency: LAN, WAN, VLANS, TCP/IP, Wireless VOIP
    • Reliable transportation. Will need to travel between local offices.
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Customer service focused individual with prior experience in a helpdesk role with excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interacting with end users
    • Ability to analyze, implement and support new technologies and systems
    • Some experience with enterprise backup and restore tools and techniques
    • Experience working with Apple desktops/laptops is a plus
    • Experience supporting corporate mobility is a plus
    • Experience supporting point of sales systems is a plus
    Essential physical requirements:
    • Must be physically able to do assigned work as outlined above. Must be physically able to sit and use the computer for hours at a time
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
    • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
