    Description

    We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a mechanical engineer, you will play a crucial role in all phases of the design process, from conceptualization to construction documentation. You will collaborate closely with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to create functional and creative designs. The ideal candidate should possess strong problem solving skills, thoughtful technical insights, and a passion for leading projects, teams and our clients. The successful candidate has the drive to jump into complex technical problems and is not afraid to work outside of their comfort zone to help our clients. They take ownership of their work and have a sense of urgency.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare criteria, computation / analyses, specifications, drawings, cost estimates, and technical reports for HVAC/plumbing system designs.
    • Perform HVAC heating and cooling load calcs; pressure drop calculations for ductwork and piping systems; modeling of systems using 3d design software; selection of HVAC and utility equipment; apply building codes; draft engineering reports
    • Select and apply engineering techniques and procedures to analyze and evaluate specific problems, data, or other features of the work which are broad in scope and complexity
    • Provide technical quality reviews and ensure adherence to quality control processes, codes and standards
    • Assist designers and drafters engaged in the design of facility mechanical systems, to ensure the designs conform to recognized codes and standards and with client requirements
    • Conduct site visits to gather information, assess feasibility, and monitor construction progress.
    • Coordinate and collaborate with project teams, including architects, interior designers, and contractors.
    • Conduct research on building codes and regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
    • Stay updated with current trends, technologies, and best practices in engineering and design.
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgetary constraints.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
    • Professional Engineers (PE) license or eligibility for licensure is required
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of work experience.
    • Expertise/ knowledge of: HVAC, Utilities, and Plumbing systems
    • Must be Revit proficient; CAD is a bonus
    • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction methods
    • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Proven time management and organizational skills
