Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

As a key part of the design team, the candidate will be responsible for the mechanical design and analysis of animated figures, mechanical effects, and related structures. Your work will be going into major theme parks around the world. Building upon previous designs, current best practices, customer specifications, and industry standards; you will create designs to meet performance expectations as well as safety and reliability guidelines.

Core Qualifications:

• 5 years of engineering design experience.
• 2 years experience working directly with major theme parks. (Required)
• Proficiency in SolidWorks 2018 or newer.
• Advanced 3D modeling and drafting skills.
• Advanced knowledge of machine design & mechanical components.
• Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes - machining, fabrication, assembly.
• Excellent visual and spatial reasoning ability.
• Ability to perform basic hand calculations, tolerance stack-ups, and project documentation.
• Understanding of simulation-based software (SolidWorks, ANSYS).
• Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Driven to be the best in their field; holds themselves to a very high standard of quality and performance.
• Willing to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.
• Ability to take direction and work as part of a team.

Beneficial Qualifications:

• Previous experience designing material handling, pick and place, conveyors, robotics, and/or agricultural equipment.
• Team leadership.
• Project Management and/or Coordination.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
