    Mechanical Engineer –


    LifeFormations is focused on designing and creating animated figures, sculpted elements, exhibits, and interactive experiences for various entertainment and educational venues worldwide. We are looking to add a skilled Engineer to our team in Cincinnati, Ohio, who is passionate about delivering high-quality work.

    As a crucial member of the design team, your role will involve integrating mechanical design with electrical and control systems for animated figures, mechanical effects, and show-action equipment. By adhering to best design practices, customer requirements, and industry standards, you will develop designs that not only meet but exceed customer expectations with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

    What you will do:
    • Lead the development of animated figures from design to installation, ensuring quality control at every stage.
    • Utilize SolidWorks and DFM principles for designing animated figures.
    • Collaborate with digital modeling, controls, and fabrication teams to streamline engineering efforts.
    • Conduct analyses on animated figures using various techniques like hand calculations, RBDs, and FEA.
    • Create drawing packages following ASTM standards.
    • Engage in design workshops, reviews, and presentations to internal teams.
    • Troubleshoot assembly and performance issues during production.
    • Maintain comprehensive mechanical documentation throughout projects.

    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years experience in mechanical design and analysis.
    • Experience in Risk Analysis, Hazard Analysis, and FMEA.
    • Openness to learning new skills and assuming additional duties.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
