    Datadog's Finance team collaborates with teams across the organization, providing commercial, operational and analytical support to ensure that Datadog's business continues to scale rapidly and efficiently.

    You will help expand our finance business partnership function, as a part of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, supporting the Director of FP&A. In this capacity, you will partner closely with the leadership team across the departments including Product & Engineering, Technical Solutions, and/or G&A to support their strategic decision-making process.

    What You'll Do:

    • Be the Finance support to Technical Support which could include Pre-Sales, Post-Sales, and Customer Support
    • Be the Finance support to G&A which could include Finance, Legal, Real Estate, People and Recruiting
    • Become a trusted business partner to our Engineering and FinOps team on all aspects of our multi-hundred-million-dollar cloud infrastructure budget
    • Work closely with our Accounting team on our monthly close process by providing COGS/ Opex allocations of our cloud spend
    • Support annual planning for headcount, T&E, discretionary spending
    • Meet regularly with the departments to understand budget vs. actual tracking and calibration
    • Analyze Pre and Post Sales performance (utilization/ productivity, profitability) and build a forecasting model to drive headcount decisions
    • Be a strategic contributor for decisions around commissions/ bonus plan for Pre-sales org (and resulting expenses), real estate expansion, and other strategic decisions
    • Work as a part of the broader FP&A team to understand the company's financials, analytics, and help the organization to scale thoughtfully
    Who You Are:
    • 3+ years of professional experience in investment banking, equity research, FP&A or other relevant field
    • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics
    • Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint with proven experience in building financial models and managing complex data
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts into easily digestible pieces
    • Skilled at building relationships and influencing at all levels of management and cross-functionally
    • Ability to provide recommendations to drive execution and decision-making; you are seen as a trusted and objective advisor
    Bonus Points:
    • MBA or CFA is a plus but not required;
    • Solid understanding of Workday Adaptive Planning is a plus, but not required
    • Experience in or understanding of a consumption-based software business model

    Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Datadog offers a wide range of best in class, comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, dental, parental planning, and mental health benefits, a 401(k) plan and match, paid time off, fitness reimbursements, and a discounted employee stock purchase plan.

    The reasonably estimated yearly salary for this role at Datadog is:

    $125,000-$150,000 USD
