    As the

    Senior Accountant

    you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

    The

    Senior Accountant


    will ensure complete and systematic accounting records of receipts and disbursements in the organization by preforming complex clerical and bookkeeping tasks and applying accepted procedures in preparing and maintaining accounting records.


    Responsibilities:
    Prepares financial reports and accounting statements

    Posts journal entries to general ledger

    Processes payroll and prepares payroll reports

    Proofs accounting reports for clerical accuracy

    Allocates expenditures to correct accounts according to departmental procedures

    Assists in management of accounts payable

    Ensures team property reconciles retail cash

    May hire, train, and oversee subordinate accounting staff

    May oversee scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate accounting staff

    Preform other duties as assigned


    Requirements:
    Must have a thorough understanding of accounting practices and procedures and the ability to train others in related practices and procedures

    3-5 years' experience as a Senior Accountant

    Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field

    Experience in QuickBooks and/or Intacct Sage

    Must have attention to detail and accuracy in work

    Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office

    Certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus

    Prior experience in the cannabis industry is a plus


    Job Type:
    Full-time


    Pay:
    From $80,000.00 per year
