We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Specialist to join our team.

The Safety Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety programs and initiatives to promote a safe working environment and prevent accidents and injuries.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and work processes to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken in a timely manner.

Assist in the development and delivery of safety training programs for employees, including new hire orientation, refresher training, and specialized training as needed.

Provide guidance and support to employees on safety-related issues, concerns, and questions, and escalate complex issues to management as necessary.

Assist in investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop recommendations for corrective actions and preventative measures.

Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, training, and compliance activities, and prepare reports as needed for management and regulatory agencies.

Stay informed about changes in safety regulations, standards, and industry trends, and assist in updating policies and procedures accordingly.
Participate in safety committee meetings and other forums to promote safety awareness and engagement among employees.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in safety performance and culture.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support the overall safety and well-being of the organization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in safety-related roles, preferably in [industry/sector].Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills with the ability to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to promoting a culture of safety excellence and continuous improvement.

Compensation:
60-75kBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, etc

Pay Details:
