Job Title: Health and Safety Specialist
Location: Portland, OR
LHH Recruitment Solutions is excited to be partnering with a company in the Beaverton, OR area that plays a key role in ensuring the health and safety of our workforce and will have the opportunity to make a significant impact. The company is stable and has great benefits
Responsibilities:

Ensure that material safety data sheets (MSDS) are readily available and accurate, providing essential information for safe handling of materials.
Develop comprehensive health and safety procedures for both manufacturing facilities and corporate offices, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Identify safety concerns and proactively implement initiatives to mitigate risks and promote a safe working environment.
Maintain compliance with all environmental regulations, overseeing reports and records related to hazardous waste and pollutants.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred, with a focus on Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
5+ years of experience in a safety role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey safety protocols and procedures to all levels of the organization.
Proficient knowledge of environmental regulations and policies, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail to assess safety risks and develop appropriate solutions
Knowledge of operational and maintenance processes and procedures falling under OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and 1926.

Benefits:

Competitive compensation: $80,000 - $ annually, depending on experience (DOE).
Day shift hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
