- English Language Proficiency
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Licensure as a professional nurse in a US State or territory
- Minimum 1 year experience with patient populations with Behavioral Health and/or Alcohol/Substance Use Disorder
- Experience in teaching nursing & Health and Wellness classes
- Creating treatment plans
- Process Improvement participation
- Providing Health & Wellness Patient Education
- Completing nursing processes and standards of care for residents in specialized treatment programs
- Functioning as a Case Manager for individualized care plans
- Conducting ongoing assessments and documentation
- Setting goals and outcomes with residents
- Collaborating with healthcare providers and staff for comprehensive care
- Administering medications and treatments as per guidelines
- Conducting group trainings and psychoeducation activities
- Coordination of different treatment modules

Domiciliary Registered Nurse Opportunity at VA Healthcare System
The role of the domiciliary RN is to provide patient-centered and recovery-oriented care to individuals dealing with substance use disorder and/or mental health conditions, all while maintaining self-awareness during the caregiving process.
