Nurse (Clinical Assessor) Position at VA Healthcare:

This position offers the opportunity to be part of the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a program that assists with student loan payments. As a potential candidate, meeting specific eligibility requirements and submitting the EDRP application promptly is crucial.

The EDRP application undergoes a thorough review by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services office to determine program approval, award amount (up to $200,000), and eligibility period (ranging from one to five years).

Qualifications:

• English Language Proficiency
• Graduation from an accredited nursing school approved by relevant bodies
• Possession of current nursing registration

Grade Determinations:

• Scope, Education, and Dimension criteria play a crucial role in determining grade assignments
• Different levels of nursing require specific qualifications and experience

Duties:

• Conduct assessments of Veterans and caregivers
• Implement and oversee the Caregiver Support Program
• Provide clinical interventions to address caregiver needs
• Coordinate with various VA programs for patient care

Preferred Experience:
Experience in Community Based/Home Care Programs

Physical Requirements:
Moderate lifting and carrying, reaching above shoulder, walking, standing, and more

Environmental Factors:
Work both outside and inside, around moving objects or vehicles, and with others closely.

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
