    Job Title: Vice President (VP) in Renewable Energy Group @ Bank

    Job Description:

    The Vice President (VP) of Banking in Renewable Energy plays a pivotal role in leading and overseeing financial activities related to renewable energy projects within the banking sector. This role combines strategic planning, financial analysis, relationship management, and industry expertise to drive successful financing solutions in the renewable energy sector.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans to drive growth and profitability in renewable energy banking activities. Identify market trends, opportunities, and risks to inform business strategies.
    2. Financial Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of renewable energy projects, including feasibility studies, risk assessments, financial modeling, and valuation to evaluate investment opportunities and determine financing structures.
    3. Deal Origination and Structuring: Lead the origination and structuring of financing transactions for renewable energy projects, including debt financing, project financing, tax equity, and other financial instruments. Collaborate with clients, project developers, investors, and internal teams to tailor financing solutions to meet specific project requirements.
    4. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the renewable energy industry, including project developers, investors, financial institutions, government agencies, and other relevant parties. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing financial expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
    5. Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including legal, regulatory, technical, and environmental assessments, to identify and mitigate risks associated with renewable energy projects.
    6. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies governing banking activities in the renewable energy sector. Implement robust risk management practices to safeguard the interests of the bank and its stakeholders.
    7. Market Research and Insights: Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, policy developments, and emerging technologies in the renewable energy sector. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to capitalize on market opportunities and mitigate risks.
    8. Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and develop a team of professionals responsible for renewable energy banking activities. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture that promotes innovation, creativity, and continuous learning.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
    • Extensive experience (typically 7-10 years) in investment banking, corporate banking, project finance, or related areas, with a focus on renewable energy or infrastructure finance.
    • Strong financial analysis skills, including proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and risk assessment.
    • Demonstrated track record of originating and executing complex financing transactions in the renewable energy sector.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of renewable energy technologies, project development processes, and regulatory frameworks.
    • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Sound judgment, strategic thinking, and ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity.
    • Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) may be advantageous.
