Demonstrates behavior that is consistent with the companys values of Customer Satisfaction, Innovation, Family, and Social Responsibility. **Work Schedule:** 3rd Shift | 11:00 PM 7:30 AM | Sunday - Thursday **Essential Job Functions:** Performs cycle counts in all locations on a cyclical basis to improve and maintain accuracy levels. Maintains records of accuracy levels and raw data.
Assists in identifying inventory critical part shortage information to production control and scheduling.
Identifies and documents any errors in the storage of component parts.
Operates equipment including forklift, mechanical pallet jack, scales, and scissor-lift in a safe manner to support cycle count operations.
Assists in developing methods for improving stockroom activities concerning receiving and issuing parts and assemblies.
Performs all necessary transactions in JD Edwards prior to the beginning of all cycle counts.
Overtime may be required.
**Other Job Functions:** May be required to work overtime when necessary. Performs other related tasks as assigned, some of which may become essential to the position. Hunter Industries approach to the health and safety of each employee is based on adherence to our Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP). Every employee is responsible for their safety and must work safely at all times. Employees are to immediately report all unsafe or hazardous conditions, including injuries and near misses to their Supervisor or the Risk Management department. Those employees who do not comply with safe work practices may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination. **Education/Training Required:** Associates degree preferred or equivalent years of work experience. APICS or similar training preferred.
**Experience Required:** Must have minimum of two years of experience in inventory control or related field.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):** KSA #1: Must have valid California driver license with a good driving record, eligible to be insured, and be able to pass the in?house forklift test.
KSA #2: Requires advanced product and commodity knowledge, as well as knowledge of stockroom procedures, policies, and guidelines.
KSA #3: Requires basic computer skills in the use of JDEdwards.
KSA #4: Detail oriented. Must be able to accurately perform basic mathematical calculations and use a weight counting scale.
KSA #5: Requires initiative and the ability to work within timelines with minimum supervision.
KSA #6: Must have good written and verbal communication skills in English.
KSA #7: Requires advanced product and parts knowledge.
KSA #8: Must be able to work overtime when required.
**Physical Demands:** Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
Ability to push and pull with the arms and body to move items using a two?wheeled dolly, four?wheeled cart and pallet jack. Ability to push and pull with the arms upon levers and push with the feet upon pedals to drive the forklift. Ability to walk and stand intermittently during the shift to move about and to perform various inventory control activities.
Ability to sit to drive a vehicle and forklift. Ability to climb stairs to gain access to the work area and to use a ladder to move items to and from high shelves. Ability to bend, crouch and kneel to move items to and from pallets and shelves to gain access to or to view stockroom areas.
Manual dexterity sufficient to lift and carry items, to handle parts, to grasp levers to operate the forklift and to grasp a handle to move items with a dolly, cart and pallet jack.
Finger dexterity sufficient to use a computer and to complete paperwork activities.
Visual acuity sufficient to drive a vehicle and forklift, to read and complete paperwork and use a computer.
Hearing sufficient to communicate with individuals by telephone and in person.
**Work Environment:** Works in all areas of the facility with or without temperature controls and carpeted tile or concrete floors. Wears safety glasses and earplugs in designated areas.
