    JOB SUMMARY
    This is an outdoor sales role responsible for promoting the company's offerings and cultivating relationships with new and existing accounts. The primary goal is to aid Sysco customers in achieving success while hitting sales and profit targets set by the company. This role may involve working non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays) to effectively meet customer needs.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Develop new business, retain existing accounts, and reduce lost business to drive profitable sales growth within the assigned territory
    • Identify and qualify prospects in line with company account stratification objectives
    • Research customer requirements and devise a range of products and services to fulfill those needs
    • Monitor market trends and suggest products to customers based on their business objectives
    • Stay updated on market conditions, product innovations, and competitor offerings; share this information with customers to add value to the services provided
    • Address customer queries regarding products, prices, availability, and product usage
    • Deliver product information and practical training to customer staff
    • Travel to customer accounts, conventions, company meetings, etc., using a personal vehicle
    • Manage deliveries based on the transportation department's routing schedule; troubleshoot any issues during the order process (e.g., out of stock items, special orders, low inventory)
    • Engage in company functions, promotions, customer visits, and events
    • Attend general sales and district meetings
    • Participate in ongoing training sessions
    • Aid in training new employees as needed
    • Review and analyze daily and weekly reports, such as special order requests, customer bid files, and sales/gross profit margin data
    • Carry out administrative tasks like preparing sales budgets and reports, maintaining sales records, processing credits and pick-up requests, creating sales quotes and menu suggestions, and filing reports
    • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Required Education/Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field OR HSD/GED and 3 years of Restaurant Management, B2B, or outside sales experience, or a similar relevant background
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Bi-Lingual proficiency
    • Experience in Restaurant Management, Foodservice Outside Sales, or as a Chef
    Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no multiple DUIs in the last 2 years)
    • Current automobile insurance meeting specified liability limits
    Requirement
    • Pass pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, Background Check)
    • Agree to Sysco Protective Covenants Agreement
    • Reside in or be willing to relocate to the geographical vicinity of the designated territory
