Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) - Electrical Engineer Position

Join our team at TSR as we are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to collaborate with one of the leading EPC firms in the US. This is a fantastic opportunity for a long-term contract role based in Parlin, NJ.

Summary

As an Electrical Engineer with us, you will have the chance to independently utilize advanced engineering techniques, tackle engineering challenges, and engage with clients to define project scopes. Your responsibilities will cover various electrical engineering tasks across different projects, from production to maintenance, R&D, and power distribution. You will work closely with other engineering teams to ensure efficient task implementation and provide technical guidance where needed.

Responsibilities

Lead projects, defining scopes and working with cross-functional teams
Collaborate with clients to determine operating requirements
Design and provide services for electrical systems
Assess the quality and performance of capital projects
Handle industrial electrical power distribution
Understand and generate electrical drawings
Assist in process control discussions and decision-making
Provide engineering support for process control systems
Design and select instrumentation and control systems
Lead project teams and provide technical guidance
Participate in Process Hazard Analysis
Define process design basis for other disciplines
Develop project estimates, scopes, and schedules
Work with Construction Manager and oversee project execution
Forecast and track project costs
Manage scope changes both technically and commercially

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Control Systems
8+ years of relevant experience
Industry knowledge of codes and standards (NFPA, OSHA, IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, etc.)
Previous experience in chemical, refining, or biofuels industry
Proficiency in P&ID development, equipment sizing, and electrical calculations
Demonstrated leadership in process design for capital projects
Professional Engineering (P.E.) license desirable
