Seeking an Electrical Engineer

Operating under general supervision, this role involves applying advanced engineering techniques, making decisions on engineering problems, and collaborating with the client to define project scope. The job requires performing electrical engineering and design assignments across various areas such as production, maintenance, process, capital projects, R&D, and power distribution. This includes utilizing established electrical technology and principles, conducting electrical calculations, and coordinating with other engineers for efficient task implementation. The position also involves providing technical guidance to team members and offering scientific interpretations and advice. Additionally, the Electrical Engineer will be responsible for various project aspects, including forecasting and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a project lead for small projects or an area lead for larger projects
Define project scope from basic data receipt to design process deliverables
Collaborate with clients' cross-functional teams to establish operating requirements
Oversee study, design, specification, and services related to electrical systems
Assess the quality and capability of newly designed Capital Projects
Handle industrial electrical power distribution across different voltage levels
Manage electrical power distribution equipment and utilization equipment
Participate in discussions regarding process control and safety concerns
Provide engineering services for process control systems
Take responsibility for design, selection, and services related to instrumentation and control systems
Lead project scope completion and provide guidance to team members
Conduct Process Hazard Analysis for project-related work
Define process design basis for Electrical Systems and Instrumentation
Develop project estimates, scopes, and schedules
Work closely with Construction Manager during project execution
Track project costs and manage scope changes

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Control Systems
Strong understanding of industry codes and standards
Minimum of 8 years of related experience
Experience in chemical, refining, or biofuels industry
Proficiency in areas like P&ID Development, equipment sizing, and instrumentation
Leadership experience in process design on capital projects
Professional Engineering (P.E.) license preferred
