Senior Consultant - Workforce Strategy

We will count on you to:

Member of a team working to build and expand core safety competencies in various industries like Manufacturing, Aerospace, Healthcare, Energy, and Oil & Gas to support and consult for our brokerage clients. Anticipate, quantify and design strategies to identify gaps in client operations responsible for safety hazards resulting in Worker's Compensation, General Liability, Auto Liability, and Product Liability losses. Increase operation's quality, safety, and efficiency; improve productivity and profitability; reinforce behaviors needed to support business objectives; and develop and implement sustainable safety and health management systems (assessing engineering drawings of the buildings and machinery to consult on structural and material integrity, auditing aircraft maintenance logs to ensure timely and regular checks, etc.). Offer innovative solutions to reduce the exposure to safety hazards resulting in reduced personnel loss and financial savings in return for the client organization. Perform ergonomics and equipment safety risk assessments to facilitate the design of solutions such that the risk due to human error is reduced for existing product design, process design, equipment, and facility. Use lean concepts and engineering solutions to prevent acute safety injuries (digital modeling of the facility, workstation, product, and process to solve for human performance and reduce physical injury risk). Consult airlines on physical and conceptual systems architecture to improve interaction between systems and ergonomically design its placement such that it poses minimal strain on pilots while flying. Lead the technical design, development, and implementation of environmental health and safety initiatives for various processes and programs to support manufacturing operations, facilities, and business strategies according to local, state, and federal regulations (involves using Fluent, Hypermesh and Catia). Become aware of client production methodologies and provide insight on gaps and foreseeable production issues by utilizing mechanical concepts. Improve productivity and profitability by using predictive analytics to highlight key loss drivers with the help of various in-house tools. Research and present solutions to overcome safety hazards within the client organization and benchmark their performance with respect to the Industry. Stay updated on advancements in the robotics industry to design and develop standard operating procedures or audit existing client policies and procedures to ensure safety while working with or around automated devices like unmanned aerial vehicles, robots, etc. Support clients in the renewable energy industry, by helping them foresee potential issues and prepare accordingly. Review results of Non-Destructive Testing and provide recommendations on material performance and alternatives to fit the application. Evaluate, review, and make recommendations on proposed plant layouts, equipment, and facilities, assuring the control of hazards which are potentially existent in the storage, handling, or use of toxic material. Use continuous improvement tools and project management methodologies (lean concepts, kaizen events, and Gantt charts) to manage multiple complex projects from initiation to completion and identify problems and priorities to facilitate and plan the execution of solution delivery. Develop pricing and strategies for complex projects and develop proposals to expand relationships with existing clients and gain new clients. Provide expert advice to clients in developing and adjusting project approaches, methodology, and tools to guide risk programs and initiatives. Leverage advanced knowledge of industry trends around risk management to develop actionable insights into a client's business environment and risk management environment and present to internal and client teams. Perform Industrial Hygiene sampling.

What you need to have:

Must have at least a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field plus two (2) years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in the position offered, or as a Risk Consultant, Program Manager, or a related position. To clarify the minimum educational requirement, please note, in meeting the degree requirement, employer will accept a Master's degree or higher in one of the enumerated fields or a related field in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. Employer will accept pre- or post-Master's degree experience. Must have two (2) years of progressively responsible experience with all of the following: Consulting in the insurance industry or on insurance related issues; Designing and modeling using any of the following: AutoCAD, CATIA Fluent, or Hypermesh; Utilizing manufacturing-related concepts involving fluid mechanics, the strength of materials, and composite structures to evaluate product design and its manufacturing requirements; Utilizing Microsoft Project to manage time, budget and allocation of resources; Performing project management and implementing workflow processes; Industrial hygiene sampling, including noise testing and air monitoring; Vendor Risk Management for identifying potential vendors to partner with to deliver the required service or offering; and Performing Non Destructive Testing. Must also have one (1) year of progressively responsible experience with all of the following: Developing and auditing existing standard operating procedures for unmanned aerial vehicle and robots; Utilizing knowledge in propulsion, avionics, flight dynamics, satellite, and space system design to assess the existing controls for the hazards present; and Utilizing aviation safety management and risk management skills to ensure the controls are adequate for the risk that lies within the organization. Travel reqs: 60% domestic and occasional international travel is required to various and unanticipated company and client sites.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $127,000-$173,200 per year.
